Entry 01 — Who I amLa Union, PH · UTC+8

I keep notes on things I build.

Full-stack engineer, 5 years in. I build web products at Sun Asterisk, ship side projects on nights and weekends, and spend a lot of time reading about things I don't yet understand.

I care about the unglamorous parts — clean code, fast interfaces, and the kind of UX that feels obvious in hindsight.

Entry 03 — Things I built5 logged

Things I built, and why.

Each one starts as a problem someone actually had. Open an entry to read what changed.

The problem

A local government unit tracked thousands of senior citizens on paper. Finding one record, or checking who was owed which benefit, took hours.

What I built

A registry with searchable profiles, guided registration, and benefit tracking — Laravel API behind a Next.js client, validated end to end with Zod and React Hook Form.

Outcome

Record lookup went from a filing-cabinet hunt to a search box, and benefit delivery became auditable.

Special thanks

None of the above happened alone. Thanks to the mentors who reviewed my messy pull requests, the teammates who asked the awkward question in standup, and the family who never asked when I'd get a normal job.
